- Developed and marketed a polypropylene film capacitor jointly with Toyo Rayon (Toray)

- Changed company name to Shinyei Kaisha upon taking over subsidiaries Shinyei Denki Co., Ltd. and Oita Seishi Co., Ltd.

- Established overseas affiliated company in Singapore. Expanded business to global market
